Keyboards I've used and my thoughts about them.

Nuphy Air75

My first low-profile mechanical keyboard, got it after seeing the ad. This was Nuphy's first product, by now they've grown substantially as a brand.

The packaging was nice. It has all the accessories like

the typing experience fell short, as I prefer my macbook keyboard over it. Ended up selling on Discord.

Logi G915 TKL

Sick lighting, very nice typing feel. Overall very well-made. The obvious shortcoming was that it still uses a Micro USB Type-B port for charging. Also no bluetooth, but that's understandable considering it is a gaming keyboard (gaming !!!!!!!!!!!!!). Sold on kijiji for being too clacky.

Logitech MX Mechanical

Heavily advertised and overwhelmingly disappointing. Keys are wobblier than a slinky and sounds like clashing silica gel packets. Returned.

Logitech MX Keys Mini

It's simple, small, does the job, and battery lasts for months. It never failed me, and that's why I got bored of it so quickly. Returning it was a mistake.

Keychron Q3

First full size mechanical keyboard. Works fine but the paint job isn't the best. I got it in white but the keycaps' white is a lot warmer than the case's white. It was very annoying so I spray-painted black myself.

It was okay, does what it's supposed to do. Mechanical keyboards are overrated. Sold on kijiji.

HHKB Professional Hybrid Type-S

Got it in snow colour, blank keycaps, very very nice-looking board. Boy was it expensive!

Everyone says Topre is the best, king of tactiles, whatever. Even though it sounded nice, I didn't get used to the feel and the small area on top of the keycaps. Sold on kijiji.

Drop CSTM65

Very clean board with side-printed shinethrough keycaps. Removable frame, hotswap, everything you need. It was nice, however not substantially nicer than just a regular keyboard. I still have it tho.

At the end of the day, I realized how much I don't actually need these fancy, supposedly superior keyboards. As they say in photography, The best camera is the one you have with you. Right now I just use the keyboards on my MacBook for everything. I'm used to it, I can type fast on it, it does everything I need to, and I always have it with me.

My keyboard journey ends here (probably).
